On Thursday 23 May, the Lord’s Taverners ACT partnered with Barton Estate to host our annual Winemaker’s Dinner at Canberra Rex Hotel. Winemakers Bob Furbank and Julie Chitty introduced 7 excellent wines to more than 60 members and guests. Wines were carefully paired with three delicious courses prepared by the Rex head chef. Attendees enjoyed a Sparkling Chardonnay, a Riesling, a Chardonnay, a Shiraz, a Petit Verdot, a Sparkling Malbec and a Rose. Barton Estate is a small family-owned producer of handmade premium Canberra District wines from estate grown grapes in the heart of the Murrumbateman cool climate wine country. Proceeds from this highly entertaining evening will be directed to support our Disability Awards program.
