Former champion cricketer, Mr Adam Gilchrist AM will be formally inducted as National Ambassador of the Lord’s Taverners at a special event at in Sydney next month.
The former wicket-keeper batsman – one of the best the world has ever seen – will be inducted by the National President of the Lord’s Taverners, Mr Paul Sheahan AM, himself a former Australian Test cricketer.
After the induction takes place, Adam will be interviewed by former ABC presenter, Kerry O’Brien.
Other special announcements will also be made at the event by Mr Sheahan.
The induction ceremony will take place at a dinner on Tuesday, 15 August in the Steve Waugh Dining Room at the SCG (commencing at 7pm).
Tickets are available now and are open to the general public, as well as members of the Lord’s Taverners. Tickets, which include a three-course meal and drinks, are $165 each for Lord’s Taverners members or $180 each for non-members.
