Lusty hitting in the Big Bash at Manuka Oval has seen the Lord’s Taverners ACT donate $1650 to Australians impacted by this summer’s bushfires.

Under the formula that $100 would be donated for each six hit by the Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Renegades, and $25 would be donated for each four, the final combined tally in the T20 match on 15 January was 11 sixes ($1100) and 22 fours ($550).

Thunder batsman Alex Ross led the way, smashing four sixes and three fours in his half century.

For the Renegades, Sam Harper, who made 52, hit two sixes and three fours.

The $1650 has gone towards Cricket ACT’s bushfire relief fundraising, with money to be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery.

The Lord’s Taverners is proud to support this worthy initiative of Cricket ACT, to help Australians who have suffered as a result of damage caused by the bushfires.
