The Lord’s Taverners ACT has raised $2702 for local young and disadvantaged cricketers and other athletes at two of Cricket ACT’s major event days at Phillip Oval.

The Lord’s Taverners netted $912 at Cricket ACT’s junior representative T20 day on Australia Day (26 January) and a further $1790 at the senior first-grade T20 semi-finals and finals day, which was held on 14 February.

Members of the Lord’s Taverners staffed the canteen on both days, including operating a (very tasty) barbecue in a COVID-safe way.

The initiatives on both days were successful, helping to foster the relationship between Cricket ACT and the Lord’s Taverners ACT and raise awareness about the community support the Lord’s Taverners provides.
